About your presenter: Brian Dale ∼ Archetype Consultant, Author, Teacher and Storyteller.

Brian Dale is a retired primary school teacher, librarian and storyteller. His focus now is as an archetype consultant, author, past life hypnotherapist and workshop facilitator.

Brian’s giftedness in archetypes was an amazing discovery. In 2002, he trained as an archetype consultant at the Australian Institute of Caroline Myss. Archetypes are universal personifications, such as, Princess, King, Victim, Warrior, Rescuer, Teacher, Priestess and many more. We continually use archetypal energy in our daily lives. Brian realised he could assist people in the discovery and understanding of their true selves, how they operate in the various aspects of their lives and how to bring change for their betterment and the betterment of others.

Mens Archetypes ~ Achieving Balance

The key word with the modern man is balance.
It is important for the male to balance the different aspects of their life. It is the balance of their physical and spiritual selves. It is the balance of their work and recreation activities. It is the balance of their feminine and masculine energies. Most importantly, it is the balance of using all their archetypal energies.

Males often have the strong masculine archetypes such as Warrior, King, Knight, Athlete, Avenger or Rebel. These archetypes encourage the domination of the strong masculine energy at the expense of the quieter energy of the Father, Craftsperson, Detective, Healer, Carer or Coward. The man reaches his full potential when he is aware of all his archetypal energies or personality traits and uses them all on a regular basis.

Womens Archetypes ~ Empowerment

The key word of the modern woman is empowerment.
Every day women are taking on more responsibilities. This may be at work, at home, with their family, with their friends, following their passion or finding their purpose. Women, for far too long, have surrendered their power and strength. The common archetypes that women have include Servant, Mother, Martyr, Rescuer, Wise Woman, Companion, Healer, Teacher, Banker, Damsel and Princess. Many of these archetypes have a soft, gentle energy.

Women tend to operate on the negative energy of these archetypes. This is as a result of their childhood and upbringing where the male members of the family were encouraged to operate on the strong masculine archetypal energy and the females were encouraged to be more submissive and operate on the more placid female archetypal energy. This is the time to change. Women are discovering their strength and using the strong elements of their personal archetypes.
