Lyza and would love to invite you for a vegetarian cooking workshop that you eat as the night progresses with our dear friend Mario Fabris. Everyone loves Mario. I have known Mario for years now and it was not till recently that I found out of his amazing previous life as a Gourmet Chef.

What is Mario going to do on the night: Mario says, “I like to inspire people to come up with their own ideas, and that’s what the cooking course will be about. Lot’s of ideas to take home with, how to make quick, easy, tasty and fun dishes. Some Dips, Salads (raw and cooked), german style red cabbage, vegetarian patties/Lentil Lumpias (type of phillipino springroll-my version though), quick sweets, it’s still winter, but summer will come up soon, so it will be a mix of winter and summer foods, some are good for both seasons”.

Lets hear about Mario: My life as a chef:

I have worked in Switzerland, Spain, England, Germany, a Cruise ship (back then it was called Royal Viking Sun and was voted best ship in the world for like 7 consecutive years, now it’s called Prinzendam). I was sponsered 97 by Hayman Island in the Whitsundays and worked there in most of the Restaurants, and being in charge of Roomservice (Kitchen), and the Oriental Restaurant, French Restaurant while the Headchefs were on Holliday.

During my professional Life I did all sorts of cooking, I was always interested in lot’s of different cuisines, so I never really specialized just on one thing, even though I mostly cooked fish and meat, lol, the experience still helps me now though, when I come up with my own vegetarian ideas.

I did lot’s of Italian cooking (Italian part of Switzerland), some french, Asian (all sorts), obviously German Cuisine, modern and classic. My style of cooking is more classical foods with a modern twist and vegetarian of course.

TIME: 6.30pm tp 9pm.

COST: $55 pre paid or $60 at the door.
